A variety of cancer services are offered to MCA members through Interactive Televideo, which is sponsored by the University of Kansas Cancer Center and the University of Kansas Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth.

The services include:

  • facilitation of clinical consultations via interactive televideo (ITV);

Clinical Consultations
Teleconferencing technology allows patients and physicians in underserved areas of Kansas to have access to any of the clinical oncology specialties at the University of Kansas Cancer Center.

Continuing Professional Education
Through ITV, the MCA provides cancer educational programs for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Continuing education credit is offered to health care professionals through the University of Kansas Cancer Center, the KU Medical Center Continuing Education office, and the three Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) in the state of Kansas. These continuing education credits are provided either free or at discount for MCA members. View the MCA Calendar of Events for information about upcoming continuing education events.

A Note about ITV Requirements
A requirement of MCA membership is having ITV capabilities. If you are interested in becoming an MCA member and do not currently have ITV infrastructure, the MCA will work with you to implement this technology. Additional fees will be charged for the necessary equipment and infrastructure costs.
