The MCA collaborates with The University of Kansas Cancer Center's Clinical Trial Office to offer access to advanced clinical trials.
MCA members interested in participating in clinical trials will need to complete a site visit and assessment of their clinical trials infrastructure and staffing before enrolling patients. MCA Clinical Research members are eligible to enroll patients at their location in Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) endorsed trials. Select KU investigator-initiated trials (IITs) are available to members, based on their clinical research capacity. All trials are open for referral at KUMC.
MCA Clinical Trials
- Investigator-Initiated Clinical Trials: The University of Kansas Cancer Center offers enrollment in several original research protocols, developed by KUMC physician-researchers. These trials are typically early phase trials with a small patient population.
- Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) Clinical Trials: The University of Kansas Cancer Center extends its SWOG membership to all MCA members in good standing. Any SWOG trials currently open and enrolling are eligible to be opened at MCA sites. SWOG trials are typically late-phase, multi-center, national trials.
- Industry/Pharmaceutical Company Clinical Trials: MCA continues to develop this service and hopes to offer Pharmaceutical trials in the future.
